President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in Kaduna State to commission the $150 million Olams facility, Nigeria’s largest integrated animal feed mill, breeding farm & hatchery.
The facility is expected to contribute to the development of the Nigerian poultry and aquaculture sectors by providing not only competitively priced feed and chicks, but also technical support to local poultry farmers. The $150million Olam investment will employ 8,000 Nigerians through direct and indirect labor and 200 veterinary doctors in Kaduna State. According to the official twitter account of the Kaduna State Governor, the government provided free land for the integrated Olam facility which has the capacity to produce 1.6million chicks per week.
