Kaduna Polo Club Facts

It is said that the life of a horseman is closer to northern cultures than anywhere else in the country and the Kaduna Polo Club proves that fact.

Founded in 1918, the Kaduna Polo Club, the foremost Polo club in Nigeria, is home to 6 polo teams and is a very interesting place to visit.

It celebrated its centenary just recently with the ‘Kaduna polo centenary tournament’ or ‘Tournament as celebration of Legacy’ on the 13th to 21st October, 2018.

The game of Polo is one that requires a delicate yet strong balance of partnership between man and horse.

While the sport is often associated with royalty and glamour, at its heart, polo is a basic battle of skills and strategy.

A few kilometres from the old railway town of Kafanchan, Jema’a local government of Kaduna State, lies this natural beauty.
The ear splitting sound as one approaches the fall, the sparkling bubbles of water flowing from atop hard rocks and striking severe at its base to form a pool which flows down the slope to create a rainbow-like mist which appears and disappears and the coolness of the falls are some of the things that add to the scenic beauty that has made the fall a popular tourist destination.
