Kaduna Polo Club Facts

It is said that the life of a horseman is closer to northern cultures than anywhere else in the country and the Kaduna Polo Club proves that fact.

Founded in 1918, the Kaduna Polo Club, the foremost Polo club in Nigeria, is home to 6 polo teams and is a very interesting place to visit.

It celebrated its centenary just recently with the ‘Kaduna polo centenary tournament’ or ‘Tournament as celebration of Legacy’ on the 13th to 21st October, 2018.

Kaduna Polo Club

The game of Polo is one that requires a delicate yet strong balance of partnership between man and horse.

While the sport is often associated with royalty and glamour, at its heart, polo is a basic battle of skills and strategy.

Who is Giving Out the Best Black Friday Deal in Kaduna?

Black Friday originated in the USA.

As Thanksgiving always falls on the fourth Thursday in November, the following Friday is often observed as an unofficial holiday. Because many people are off work, shops drop prices, usually for one day only, to start the Christmas season. UK shops have since caught on to this trend and it was brought across the pond a few years ago. Between 2010 and 2013, Black Friday gradually built up momentum in the UK. In 2014, Black Friday was the peak pre-Christmas online sales day.

Exactly how “Black Friday” entered the vernacular of consuming Africa and Nigeria in particular is still a bit of a mystery.

Whatever its origins, Black Friday has become nearly ubiquitous in the hearts and minds of businesses and shoppers alike, being used to sell all manner of goods around the world.

Here in Kaduna, only jumia and konga shoppers seem to be having all the fun since many retailers in the city don’t see any need to participate in black Friday.

Well, all retailers in Kaduna except one; Gemz clothing.

If you’re on the lookout for a great deal in Kaduna right now check out Gemz clothing.

The popular tie and dye clothing brand announced on facebook that they would be giving huge discounts on all their products till December 31st this year.

N2500 for shirts and N2000 for T-shirts is a very good bargain if you ask me.

If you know any other Kaduna based brand giving out black Friday shopping discounts, please don’t hesitate to share. 😊

Kaduna Based Photographer Drops Stunning Pictures of Models In Ankara[See Photos]

One of the most sort after photographers in Kaduna, Michael Tobi Emmanuel, CEO M.T.E. Photography, last week released beautiful pictures from his most recent project work tagged Ankara & Photography.

The A-rated wedding and portrait photographer said he embarked on the project to promote Nigeria’s locally made attires.

I had a photoshoot session with a model and needed a yellow backdrop which at that time was not available. So I decided to use something more of a muslin backdrop with a touch of yellow and had to opt for Ankara fabric due to time constraint. It came out pretty well and at that point, I knew Ankara and photography would be something special so I decided to put it to work.

Talk about creativity!

Enactus Kaduna Polytechnic: Passion, Glory and Teamspirit.

Enactus Kaduna Polytechnic is a community of students, academic and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better, more sustainable world.

ENACTUS (formerly known as SIFE) had modest beginnings in Texas where the National Leadership Institute’s Robert T. “Sonny” Davis, an attorney in the United States, founded it in 1975. Each year, university teams were invited to attend leadership-training programs where they would learn the principles of free enterprise and develop leadership skills. They were challenged to go back to their campuses and conduct free enterprise outreach projects in their communities.

At the end of the year, the teams were invited to present the outcome of their efforts to judges at regional competitions who evaluated how well they taught others a working knowledge of the free enterprise system.
During the late 1990’s, SIFE expanded internationally into Albania, Brazil, South Korea, Ukraine, Russia and Uzbekistan.
In the year 2000, SIFE saw its most significant growth with new program operations opening in Australia, Belarus, Botswana, Ghana, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, South Africa and United Kingdom.
In July 2001, SIFE held its inaugural SIFE World Cup competition in London, England, where National Champion SIFE Teams from 17 countries vied for the title of SIFE World Cup Champion.
